The Challenge: Developing a bilingual, internet based brand name for international shoppers
When Patty Voigt needed a name for a web-based U.S. shopping portal for Latin American consumers, she knew it had to be short, simple, and to the point. She also knew it had to sound good to the Spanish ear, so she turned to Tungsten Branding. With bilingual expertise, we created lists of names that were both meaningful and intuitive to native speakers. The result? PuntoMio...Spanish for "My Point"!
The new name readily communicates the one-stop shopping and shipping capabilities provided by the new company. Patty used her designers to craft a logo that conveyed both a shopper, as well as an exclamation point.
“Everyone is so excited about the name. It has really taken on a life of its own. Plus, I thought you maybe get a kick out of this — we are developing an animated tutorial for the site, that will use our orange logo (I call him Senor Puntito) as our animated character. It should be really cool and will explain the service very well.”
