A Brand Clarity Company

Brilliant Brand of the Week — Sole Society

Posted on by Phillip Davis

When it comes to putting your best foot forward, you can’t do much better than this high stepping brand name. Sole Society works on so many levels. It contains a hint of it’s industry in the name, “sole,” establishing a toehold in the consumer’s mind. “Society” makes it sounds both inclusive and exclusive. It conveys a sense osolesociety2 Brilliant Brand of the Week Sole Societyf community, which is so vital to building an online following. (They currently have nearly 50,000 likes/fans on Facebook.) And the alliteration of the two “S”s makes it just s-o-o-o fun to say. The double entendre of sole/soul also adds to the playfulness.

The tag line is also clever, “Style that’s soley yours,” though I generally try to avoid using the same words from the name in the tag line. It’s best to use a synonym to reinforce the name and not sound repetitive. Their overall design and mission is clear and intuitive. “At Sole Society, we’ve created a personalized shoe membership that makes being a trendsetter effortless and affordable.” Who doesn’t want to be a stylish trendsetter?

Hats off to Sole Society for creating a well heeled brand identity.
